Reichenstein Castle is one of the three historical landmarks of Arlesheim along with the cathedral and the Ermitage. The first mention of it appears in documents dating back to 1239. After an eventful history, the venerable castle is now full of life. It offers space for all sorts of festive occasions: birthday parties, house concerts, business lunches, and last but not least, the annual festival for young citizens of Arlesheim.
At the foot of the castle is the “RehliPlatz” - a popular picnic area that boasts an open fireplace.
