Guiding Principles 2035

The content of the Guiding Principles 2035 has been completed and approved by the city council. Participation in the legislative approval process was lively and contributions were again carefully examined. Many suggestions were considered and incorporated, if not verbatim, then nonetheless in principle, into the Guiding Principles.
The Guiding Principles are composed of six spheres of activity:
• Community life
• Open spaces and population growth
• Living and public spaces
• Business and economy
• Nature and environment
• Policies and administration

Principles were established for each sphere of activity which define the long-term applicable policy principles for the community. Strategic goals for the coming 15 years were defined for the Guiding Principles, based on today’s perspective. They apply as guidelines for the coming legislative terms.

In a second phase, the city council worked out the activities needed to attain the strategic goals, based on their legislative program. Their proposals were forwarded to the agencies, parties and commissions in the legislative approval process.
