Welcome to the Arlesheim schools!

In Arlesheim, children and adolescents are taught in three levels of education: kindergarten, primary level and secondary level I. These three levels together make up the eleven-year compulsory schooling of the Canton of Basel-Country.
Over 100 teachers in 8 kindergartens and 4 school buildings look after as many as 900 children and adolescents. The primary level has 20 classes and the secondary level I 17.
The pedagogical work of the teachers is based on the stipulations of the Education Act, the level curriculum and school programs. They dedicate themselves to providing a pleasant, learning-friendly and health-promoting environment. In this context, openness, appreciation and tolerance play an important role. In everyday school life, they combine proven ways with new, successful forms of education.
